Philly’s Best Music Stores
By admin | November 7, 2011
There are a lot of great small music stores in Philly and whether they’re high tech and using sites like www.smallbusiness.xo.com or are still in the days of pen and paper, they’ve all got something to offer even the most discerning blues fan. Here are a few of our favorites:
Jaz Sound: It’s Philly’s largest and it’s been around for decades. One afternoon here and you won’t wonder why! They’ve got everything from old vinyls to actual musical instruments and some of Philadelphia’s home grown talent is known to shop here.
AKA Music: It’s just now hit the web but this small shop knows what’s up when it comes to musical instruments. They’ve got all the most obscure tracks you’ve been looking for and the staff is old school in the best, most helpful kind of way.
Main Street Music: This place has been around and it’s still a favorite of local purists. The owners are getting up there and it’s no Virgin Megastore – this is a small store with a lot of character and that’s why you’ll like it.
